Venusberg

Found a new route this morning out and around the Venusberg and the Juniper Heath (Wacholderheide).  This morning was the first morning we had frost on the ground.  It was clear, a bit of fog and cold...  Fantastic for a long run!

I can't get over how amazing this area is.  You can head out in any direction and go forever.  Simply amazing!

This was my second twenty-k or more run this week.  Hope to do a B2B tomorrow morning with a 16KM.  Am feeling a bit behind schedule with my training leading up to the Röntgenlauf on the 28th of this month.  At the end of the day, it's all good.  The Röntgenlauf is a training event leading to the 2013 Brocken-Challenge.

Have a great weekend and keep running...

Headed into Fall

Again, its been a little while since I've posted here.  Training has been stop and go the last week or so.  I got a bug/cold this past week which resulted in me getting sick for the first time this year.  Fortunately, after about four days of taking it easy and not running I was able to get back into the swing of things on Saturday last week.

I headed into this week with a 10KM on Saturday, 12KM on Sunday and ran a super 21KM this morning.  Things are looking up again.

The route I took this morning took me out past Aidlingen adjacent to the Wurm creek and out to Grafenau.  This picture highlights the onset of fall.  Can't wait to see what things will look like in a week or so.

Happy trails...
